12lb Barbel - West Hillborough
It nearly pulled me in, but my dad helped!
This superb barbel was caught in January 2004 on the Avon at West Hillborough - Warwickshire.
This secluded bank stretch has 31 pegs. Barbel to double figures, bream, chub to 6lb, dace, perch, and roach are all frequently caught here. Bronze maggot is the best bait in winter and casters are always worth a try.
